Vocdeck's vocabulary catalog is built on openly licensed work by others. This page credits that work and names the licence it is under.

Wiktionary

The word lists, English glosses, parts of speech, grammatical genders and inflected forms in Vocdeck's catalog, and many of its cognate links (which draw on Wiktionary's etymologies), are adapted from Wiktionary, the free dictionary, written by the Wiktionary contributors. We read Wiktionary through the machine-readable extracts published at kaikki.org by the Wiktextract project.

Wiktionary's text is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0), with older revisions under CC BY-SA 3.0. See the Wikimedia Terms of Use.

Changes we made: we selected a subset of entries for each language and removed entries that fail our curation; cleaned, shortened and in many cases rewrote the glosses; normalised genders and inflection tags; checked and graded the cognate links; and added our own data (difficulty levels, topics, and example sentences with their translations).

Nothing in our Terms of Service limits the rights these licences give you in the material they cover. That material is provided as is, without warranties; see section 5 of the licence.
